Savage Barker & Backhouse commenced business in Rockhampton in 1979. The founders based the business on a philosophy of personalised service where the client always came first. This philosophy has not changed since the business was purchased by Ruralco Holdings in March 2007. The focus of the business is the marketing of commercial & stud cattle through Gracemere saleyards and paddock sales, rural merchandise supplies, rural real estate & clearing sales. SBB is also an agent for CGU insurance and Ruralco Finance
